Personally I spend time with smartphones at work, so that's really the most I can talk about in regards to new technology. :P And, yes, it's quite something to have access to, basically, all of human knowledge on one small device. Humm, good question really.

I'd say it's like techno, but with a more menacing and dark sound, and yes, often enough the singer are almost growling. Often, but not always, the music itself sounds a lot more aggressive.

Might write more when I've thought about it for a bit. :P

I also agree with the first fellow.

Yes, the games have become prettier, and easier to play, buuut they've lost in regards to grandness and RPG.
It's more like hack'n'slash adventure game now.

Not that Oblivion/Skyrim are bad games, but they have lost a lot by becoming more console oriented.

Xerius: that's actually a pretty good description of Blizzard games. :)
I see Diablo 3 (and it's predecessors) as a game to waste a bit of time with, like Minesweeper.
And for that it's perfectly ok.

Mind you, never said it was a good game. :P

Anyone bought this action game? Thoughts opinions? Yes, I don't call it an rpg, I simply refuse to. It's nothing more than a dump down action clickfest, simple as that. Story? Not really much to it. Graphics? Several years outdated. Sound/music? Boring, repetitive. Gameplay? Addictive as a drug, tho...

So, anyone bought this game? Any comments, opinions, etc? Personally I preordered it, simply because I loved the story in the first two games. I did not, however, love the action game in the first two games, way too simplistic, and bullet time was just badly implemented. But that's just in my honest...

It really is a great game, I just think it also has diverse issues as I stated in my original post.

Imho Skyrim IS better, despite it's flaws.
Mainly because it isn't Fantasy World nr. 34364572.

Funny thing is, it's not a bad game.
It's just not a really good RPG game either. :S

Eh, it's still fun, just lacking in several areas.

Thank you, and not a problem. :) In regards to performance: I would actually say this is the first TES game ever that has run this flawlessly. :? I play it at highest detail settings and it still runs smooth as silk. No lag no nothing. And the load times are so short it's silly. And so far "onl...

My top 5 games of 2011. :P Anyone else has their own favourites? 5th place: Duke Nukem Forever Funny. :D But not a revolution in regards to FPS games. Still, it finally came out. Can't wait to see what will happen next. 7.5/10 4th place: Skyrim Good. Buuuuuut... Mediocre textures. Helpless AI. Small...

Yes, this isn't totally objective, hard to do that in a review where you want to state if it is good or not. :P Graphics The world looks like it's been crafted with care, it's a pleasure exploring it. There aren't as many facial possibilities as in Oblivion, and that shows, meaning people do tend to...

More first impressions: - health regen needs to be tweaked, way too easy as it is atm. - the enemy is stupid. Very. I can circle around a table pelting people with spells, and they don't do a thing to counter it... :P - I feel rather detached from my character levelling up. I can only pump magic, he...

There lies my disagreement with the path Bethesda is taking though. By preventing me from making the fabled Nord Mage, I am being handed artificial blocks to my freedom of choice. They decide that a Nord Mage is a weak character, so I am suddenly prevented from becoming the Nord who wanted to be so...

I upgraded my pc a few weeks ago, but not for Skyrim (though I did also go "yay, I can now properly run Skyrim :D").

Got an i7 sandy bridge, 16 gig ram, and a radeon 6790 as graphics card.
Nothing really major, but certainly enough to run everything currently on the market.

But when I do, I'll tell more. :P

A bit like Serious Sam fun, in the sense the jokes are just as lame. :P And it's also a throwback to the old fps games from the 90s/early 2000s in regards to the humour.
